Taylor Swift Career before 27
Taylor Swift worked hard building her reputation as a singer-songwriter. Initially marketing herself as a simple country girl, she was born in Reading, Pennsylvania. A child prodigy, she sang and made up songs at a young age.
Her grandmother was an opera singer and taught her the basics.
At 11, she recorded her first demo tracks. Additionally, she found co-writers to hone her craft and help her career, and for this reason, her family moved to the Nashville area (Hendersonville) at only 14. After a really moving show at The Bluebird Cafe in Nashville, Swift was signed to Big Machine Records in 2003, at only 16 years old!
However, her path to success was far from assured.
Her first single, Tim McGraw, was released in 2006, and made it into the Hot Country top ten. Additionally, other early singles like Love Story and You Belong With Me were hits on both the country and pop charts. This helped make her a crossover artist for years now.
As a result, T-Swift is a renowned pop star with multiple hit singles, million selling albums, and world tours.
Now,
Let’s cover her 27 Club credentials.
Taylor Swift 27th Year In Review
In December 13, 2016 Taylor Swift turned 27. (Dun, Dun, Dun)
What does this mean?
She was then a prime candidate for the Forever 27 Club, and we put her on our On Watch List.
Would the 27 Club strike again, and claim the life of another notable musician? It was possible, but fortunately, she survived her 27th year.
Notable Moments
Firstly, 27 is a bad age to be, if you’re a musician. Months before her 27th Birthday, Taylor Swift celebrated the tenth anniversary of her debut album, the self-titled Taylor Swift. What’s more, the tenth anniversary of the Amy Winehouse album Back to Black was also celebrated, because they were released days after one another.
Both albums were influential pop records of the 21st century.
Secondly, she also released her sixth studio album Reputation. Taylor Swift wrote a candid introduction to the lyric book in her new compact disc, which visually is a series of newspaper articles with headline song titles.
Most importantly,
In the opening line of this introduction she writes, “We think we know someone, but the truth is that we only know the version of them that they have chosen to show us.” Of course, Swift is right.
She’s also writes that “human beings are intrinsically impossible to simplify” and that different people know us in different ways. On “Don’t Blame Me” Swift sings, “Lord Save me, my drug is my baby, I’ll be using for the rest of my life”
Reading Between the Lines
But what does that mean? Is she eluding to unknown addictions and risky habits?
It may mean that Taylor Swift has some dark secrets that she eluding to. Let’s keep exploring.
Lastly, in her 27th year, she was sued by David Mueller, a former morning show personality for Denver’s KYGO-FM.
He sued her because he lost his job four years prior, because Taylor informed his bosses that he had sexually assaulted her at a meet-and-greet event. Since this accusation cost Mueller his job, he then accused Taylor of lying and sued Swift.
As a result, Taylor counter-sued for sexual assault. Of course, the jury ruled in her favor and she won her civil trial against David Muller. Following her victory she wiped her social media accounts causing fans to freak out and question her health and safety. This event led the the release of “Look What You Made Me Do” which was the lead single off her sixth album, Reputation.
Here is the photo of the alleged incident. It looks like he grabbed her butt.
Bottom Line:
She isn’t known for risky behavior, like excessive partying and drug abuse, that would make her a 27 Club risk. Aside from her many breakups, she has a “cautious lifestyle” and a slim chance of joining the Club.
28 and Counting
Since Taylor avoided the 27 Club, she in on our safe watch. This means that we’re going to keep a watchful eye on her until she turns 30.
Taylor Swift avoided the 27 Club with her cautious lifestyle, but she didn’t avoid our watch or the almost 27 club.
What do you make of Taylor’s personal life? She young and unmarried, and has dated many celebrities. For instance, she dated some musicians, like John Mayer, Harry Styles, Calvin Harris and Joe Jonas.
